Winner of the Rising Writer Prize in Poetry
Autumn House congratulates Liza Katz Duncan. Her manuscript, Given, was selected as the winner of our 2022 Rising Writer Prize in Poetry by Donika Kelly!
Liza Katz Duncan grew up in New Jersey and holds an MFA in Poetry from Warren Wilson College. Her poems have appeared in AGNI, About Place, Poetry Northwest, National Poetry Review, and elsewhere. She has received support for her work from Poets & Writers, the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers Conference, and the Tucson Festival of Books. She teaches English as a Second Language in New Jersey public schools.
We’re so pleased to publish this debut collection in Spring 2023. Thanks to the judge, Donika Kelly, for all her hard work.
