The Great Grown-Up Game of Make-Believe Reviewed in Kirkus

We’re excited to share that Lauren D. Woods‘s The Great Grown-Up Game of Make-Believe, winner of the 2024 AHP Fiction Prize, has received a wonderful review in Kirkus! The review calls the stories “imbued with magic and the absurd” and praises Woods’s use of form.

It goes on to say,

Woods writes beautifully about motherhood, nostalgia, and the pleasure and pain that can be found in dreaming of alternate lives for ourselves.

Thank you to Kirkus for highlighting these stories! Read the full review here.
