Ren Cedar Fuller in PGH Next Week
Join us for the Book Launch of Bigger: Essays and a workshop
White Whale Bookstore will host a book launch in just one week. On Saturday, March 28th, 2026, at 7:00 pm, celebrating Bigger: Essays by Ren Cedar Fuller, winner of our 2025 Nonfiction Prize. The event will feature Fuller reading from her debut collection, along with the three-year anniversary reading for Short Reads, featuring SR contributors Hallie Pritts, M.S. Reagan, and Robert Yune.
Bigger: Essays is a heartfelt personal essay collection that invites us to imagine a more generous way of being in the world, drawing on Fuller’s experiences as a daughter, sister, mother, teacher, and patient.
Fuller will also host a workshop session at the University of Pittsburgh’s Writing Center: The Lyrical Essay: Using Nonlinear Forms to Tell the Story. It will be hosted In Person on Friday, March 27th, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Join us at White Whale Bookstore for an evening of short stories, conversation, and community.
