Nest of Matches Reviewed by Merion West

A big thanks to Johnny Payne and Merion West for taking the time to review Amie Whittemore’s AHP poetry collection Nest of Matches! We loved reading through this thoughtful essay that intricately related larger meditations on poetic forms to Whittemore’s work.

Payne writes:

As a true poet, Whittemore pushes on, never abandoning lyric mode; rather, searching for the right metaphor, which is what poets do. And she finds it in blackberries and strawberries.
