Magdalena Is Brighter Than You Think a “Most Anticipated Feminist Books of 2026”

Our forthcoming spring title Magdalena Is Brighter Than You Think by Grace Spulak has been included in Ms. Magazine’s roundup of most anticipated feminist reads for 2026.

Chosen by K-Ming Chang, the collection is Spulak’s debut and the winner of the 2025 Rising Writer Prize is set in largely rural New Mexico. The stories explore queerness, trauma, gender, and resilience through characters navigating isolation, connection, and survival.

The book will be available on April 21, 2026, with pre-orders currently underway.
