Discordant reviewed by Washington Independent Review of Books

October 19, 2023

A keen review of Richard Hamilton’s new collection, Discordant, written by Steven Leyva is now available in the Washington Independent Review of Books. Along with Summer J. Hart’s Boomhouse, Leyva states Discordant is a collection “to make life more lyrical.” And goes on to say:

Richard Hamilton’s Discordant at times synthesizes a war correspondent’s urgent observations with a poet’s ability to invent fresh syntax. Always, there is death, whether state-sanctioned or otherwise, that must be reported on and reported to.
