CLMP’s Reading List for Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month

For Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, observed annually during the month of May, CLMP (the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses) has shared a list of reading recommendations for books by Asian American and Pacific Islander American writers to read in celebration.

We are happy to see Further News of Defeat by Michael X. Wang listed among some other great titles from independent presses. Further News of Defeat was the winner of the 2019 Fiction Prize, selected by Aimee Bender, and is the winner of the 2021 PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Short Story Collection.
