AHP Author Laura Jackson Interviewed on Inside Appalachia
Thanks to Mason Adams, Bill Lynch, and the team over at West Virginia Public Broadcasting for welcoming and interviewing Laura Jackson on their podcast Inside Appalachia. We are so glad that she got the chance to share an excerpt from her book, Deep & Wild, as well as her love of West Virginia, travel, and opossums in this wonderful interview. Of her essay collection and being from West Virginia, Jackson says:
We know why we love it here. We know why we belong here. But I will say that West Virginia is kind of like a fishbowl. People are on the outside looking in going “What is going on in that fish tank? What are those fish doing?” So this book is an attempt to show the rest of the world what it’s like to be West Virginian, especially on the average day.
