AHP Author Laura Jackson Interviewed on Chapters

A huge thanks to Chapters host Amy Deal for welcoming AHP author Laura Jackson onto her show to talk about Deep & Wild. In this wonderful interview, the two discuss their mutual love of West Virginia, and Laura shares some of her favorite places to visit around the state!

Reflecting on the main takeaway from her book, Laura says:

West Virginia is really complicated… An awful lot of us are both happy here and at the same time we want to go somewhere else. Sometimes we feel trapped and sometimes we feel grateful to be here. That complexity and that dichotomy is something that I really wanted to convey. We’re complicated people, and it’s a complicated place. But there are reasons why we’re here and reasons why we’re so proud to be West Virginian.
