Satisfied with Havoc (excerpt)
After Losing a Child
A man and a woman sit on the deck
in afternoon light.
She pushes back her chair.
He moves closer to catch her voice.
Dusk leafs absently through the trees.
They listen to the whippoorwills
stitch and unstitch the same seam
in the dark.
