ISBN (paperback): 0-9669419-1-8 About the Book What a joy it is for me to see these poems of Ed Ochester. I have been singing his praises for years. He is in a magic place, this poet, whether he is giving his attention to the great past or to the immediate present… He is sane, decent, practical – wise – one of our very best poets.–Gerald SternThis title is currently out of print; however, the entire text of Snow White Horses is included in Unreconstructed: Poems Selected and New along with selections from Land of Cockaigne and a generous selection of new poems. About the Author Through his writing, editing, and teaching, Ed Ochester has been a major influence on contemporary letters for more than three decades. He edits the Pitt Poetry Series and is general editor of the Drue Heinz Literature Prize for short fiction, both published by the University of Pittsburgh Press. From 1978 to 1998 he was director of the Writing Program at the University of Pittsburgh, and was twice elected president of Associated Writing Programs. He co-edits the poetry magazine 5 AM, and lives in a rural county northeast of Pittsburgh. |
